There are hundreds of reasons that each of us could find to practice yoga. Practicing yoga not only gives you strength & flexibility (and help you burn these bad bad bad calories...;-), it also improves your mental focus, reduces stress and tensions (especially after a tough day of work in front of your computer).
In summary, yoga will just make you feel good, in your body and in your mind (it included a nice body on the beach next summer, yes)
For me, I am also stimulated by the challenge to achieve all these crazy poses:
